The Elephant in the Tree
So, is it just me or can anyone else see the "Elephant in the Tree"? I've been staring at this tree in our yard through the summer and now into the fall as the leaves change, and the only thing I seem to be able to focus on is the elephant. Members of my family are still trying to find him, but it's so obvious to me, that I can't stop staring at him. He's a happy little elephant standing on his hind legs with his trunk turned up. An upward turned trunk is good luck in many circles. Remember when you were a kid and you watched the cloud formations in the sky and you could see animals and things? Well, I've found that you can do the same thing with a tree. I didn't try to find him, he practically jumped out at me. Some people might think it's nuts, and others might see the benefits of relaxation and meditation in just staring at a tree. Finding patterns in the branches and leaves is a wonderful way to unwind. Alright, so this has absolutely nothing to do with corporate gifts (which is what we sell, and there is the one merciless plug), but sometimes you have to just sit back and enjoy life. That is why I wanted to share the elephant. During these turbulent financial times, I've learned the importance of just sitting back and appreciating the nature around us, slowing down and not getting caught up in the political and financial news of the world. I think it is important for everyone to stop and enjoy the small things in our lives. Now when you go home and relax for the evening......see if you can find an elephant, dolphin, whale, or anything that makes you happy or inspired.... Here is where I see the elephant......
